Bringing Small Business to Career and Technical Education
SPC Workforce Education, in partnership with the College of Business and Pinellas County Schools, is excited to invite SPC Faculty and A&P Staff college-wide to participate in a paid training focused on introducing Entrepreneurial Mindset concepts in CTE classrooms. As a part of the Florida Department of Education’s Entrepreneurship and Training grant (EET), SPC Faculty and A&P Staff can earn supplemental pay for taking part in a three-part training program created and delivered by the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE). Participants will then be asked to form teams of 2-3 students to compete in the SPC Business Plan & Elevator Pitch Competition in April 2021. Winners from the Pitch competition will earn prizes and be invited to compete in a Regional competition with teams from our partnering schools in Hillsborough County.
Supplemental pay for attendance in training will be provided to participants. Career service staff are ineligible to receive supplemental pay.
